JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Jacksonville man was found guilty of murder in a 2012 choking death.

Enrique Pajaro, 20, was convicted Thursday of charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in the 2012 murder of Robert Scott.

In March 2012, Pajaro and Merienne Blake, arranged to meet the victim at Blake's home and get high. After Scott passed out from using drugs, Pajaro and Blake stole his drugs, smoked the drugs, and then attacked Scott while he was asleep. Pajaro hit the victim multiple times with a hammer. When Scott tried to defend himself, Pajaro choked him to death.

Pajaro faces life in prison. He will be sentenced next week.
