Man from St. Johns County sentenced on charge of video voyeurism
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A St. Johns County man was sentenced Tuesday on a charge of video voyeurism.
According to the Office of the State Attorney in St. Johns County, 36-year-old Jerry L. Hackney was sentenced to 300 days in jail. Hackney must serve Friday through Sunday on a two-year term. Hackney will then be on probation for five years, according to the office.
Detectives arrested Hackney in February on the charge, according to officials. A 25-year-old woman told authorities an employee of World Gym on U.S. 1 South put Hackney's cellphone in a closet to record people going in and out of a tanning booth.
According to the office, Hackney pleaded no contest to both charges in November.
