JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was sentenced Thursday in the beating of a handicapped worker at Publix.

Ryan Keys was sentenced Thursday afternoon to 10 years in prison, followed by five years of probation for the beating of a handicapped worker at Publix. Keys pleaded guilty to charges of Aggravated Disabled Adult Abuse and Resisting Officer without Violence in March 2012.

Jay Wall was at work, at Publix, when he was beaten by Keys in July 2011. Keys repeatedly punched the victim after Wall complimented Keys' brother's Georgia Bulldog shirt. Keys' attack was so brutal that Wall lost several teeth. The 27-year-old has undergone numerous surgeries to repair the damage.
