Man gets life in prison for murder
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was sentenced to life in prison for Murder in the First Degree and 15 years for Attempted Armed Robbery.
Lee Antwan Johnson was convicted last month in the 2009 murder of Kenneth Pittman. Johnson, Earl Johnson and Lamont Brown went to Pittman's home intending to rob him.
Brown drove Lee and Earl Johnson to the victim's home. Brown stayed in the car while the Johnsons went to the door. When Pittman answered the door, he was shot in the chest. Brown and the Johnsons then left the area.
Brown pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory after the fact. Earl Johnson pleaded to a charge of second-degree murder.
