Man killed in crash on MLK Expressway
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person is dead after a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck.
Both directions of the Martin Luther King Expressway were shutdown Friday night because of the crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevy pickup driven by 68-year-old Trevor Mair pulled into the intersection of U.S. 1 northbound and the I-95 entrance ramp when an motorcycle struck the pickup.
Norman Spaulding, 26, was ejected from the motorcycle and subsequently struck numerous times while lying in the lanes of U.S. 1, according to FHP.
Spaulding was pronounced dead by first responders.
Troopers say charges are pending.
