JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police say a man was shot and killed while driving on Jacksonville's Northside on Wednesday night.
Investigators believe the shooter and victim may have been involved in a road rage incident.
JSO homicide investigators say a witness heard gunshots near the Gate gas station on Dunn Avenue just east of I-295 shortly before 8 p.m.
Police found the victim's pickup truck and trailer in the woods just off the south side of Dunn Avenue. The driver was dead inside the vehicle.
Police believe the shooter may have used the Gate station prior to an altercation, then sped away onto I-295.
