Man nicknamed 'Six-Nine' charged with strip club killing
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police arrested a suspect in a slaying at a strip club on the Southside.
Police say Stanley Kelvin Merriweather turned himself into police Thursday night. He is accused of shooting Glen Eugene Adams at Mascara's Gentleman's Club last September.
Investigators say Merriweather had an argument over money and hit a female dancer. Adams intervened and Merriweather shot him in the chest in front of a number of witnesses, according to police.
Police said Merriweather is nicknamed "Six-Nine," which happens to match his 6-foot-9 height.
