PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- A Putnam County jury took less than 45 minutes to convict a man for his role in a 2010 murder.
Richard Edward Harris, 44, was convicted by a Putnam County jury of first degree murder with a firearm Wednesday for the murder of Brian Seymore in 2010.
Prosecutors said Harris and a co-defendant, dressed in camouflage, waited in the woods behind Seymore's house. They ambushed the victim and Harris shot him with a handgun while a co-defendant fired a shotgun at the victim.
Harris’ co-defendant, Kelly Anderson, is expected to go to trial sometime in May.
