Man shot during fight between two other men at Westside gas station

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man has been shot during a fight at a Westside gas station.

Action News has learned that the man was shot and wounded when two different men got into an altercation at a convenience store at Ricker Road and Melvin Road off 103rd Street on the Westside.

One of those men left the gas station and returned with a gun. He then shot at the person he was fighting with several times, missing completely.   At this time, police do not believe the victim was involved in the fight, but the investigation is ongoing.

We're told the man was taken to Shands with life-threatening injuries.
