Man shot in the face with flare gun, suspect arrested
LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A man has been jailed in Columbia County on charges of shooting another man in the face with a flare gun.
According to the police report, Cory Douglas, 28, approached a victim who was sitting in a car on Martin Luther King Street and fired the weapon. Douglas then ran from the scene but was taken into custody a short time later. Enrique Cutts, 27, was treated at a Gainesville hospital.
Douglas is charged with Aggravated Battery and Criminal Mischief. Bond was set at $20,000.
