JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A former JEA engineer is going to prison for stealing thousands of dollars worth of construction materials from his employer.

Thomas William Allen, 45, worked as an engineer on a project to provide power to the Brooks Rehabilitation Bartram campus project.

Court documents say Allen illegally converted construction materials, belonging to JEA, for sale to an electrical contractor working on the same development project.

Allen converted the money from the sale to his own personal use.

Records say Allen stole more than $63,000 in equipment owned by JEA and the city of Jacksonville.

Allen pleaded guilty and received 20 months in prison as part of his sentence.

Build your own 'Solar Power' panels are available on line 'cheap'to keep you from being dependent on JEA..sometimes the electic companies will have to pay you, so I've read and heard from my friend in IN who uses solar and windmill power for her entire home. The Government doesn't want 'John Q Public' to know this, they WANT us dependent on them.
