Man tries to rob gas station

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators are looking for a man who tried to rob a store clerk in St. Johns County early Thursday morning.

The robbery happened at a Kangaroo gas station on State Road 16 shortly before 5 a.m.

The clerk told deputies a man walked in with a shirt covering his face and demanded money at the counter. The clerk didn't see a gun, even though the man implied he had a weapon.

The man ran from the store without any money or merchandise down Schallers Road.

he's wearing long sleeves to hide his tatoos... his t shirt is clean, so mom does his laundry, & his hair is relatively groomed short.. and he's none too bright !!! a check of school records should turn up the suspect... though they will have to look through hundreds of student photos, as to the none too bright aspect describes quite a few in st. john's
