Yes this seems like a harsh sentence for pot possession. The actual "crime" is he had a loaded 9mm firearm on him. Is he a convicted felon? Was he the registered firearm owner? Did he have a concealed weapons permit? The is the felony~the firearm not the pot.

What is wrong with this country's legal system? This man was sentenced to federal prison for dealing in a substance that has been legalized in Colorado and other states. What happened to "...liberty and justice for all."?
