Marion County high school evacuated for suspicious package
MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- Forest High School in Ocala was evacuated Thursday for what authorities deemed a suspicious package.
Around 40 staff and students were kept out of the school for several hours while hazmat crews analyzed the package and deemed it harmless.
Firefighters determined the package contained a non-hazardous protein powder.
No one was injured in the incident.
School operations resumed around 10 a.m.
