Marion County murder suspect found in Oklahoma
MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies found a decomposing body during a well-being check Saturday near Ocala.
Local authorities say they were informed of the stabbing of Manuel "Sonny" Amaral's by the Oklahoma City Police Department.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Kimberly Collins was being interviewed by detectives in Oklahoma when she told them about the fatal stabbing.
Deputy Judge Cochran told Action News, "It's early in the investigation, but evidence shows Amaral was stabbed in the back and he was in advanced stages of decomposition."
There is no word yet on a motive or the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
Prosecutors plan to purse second-degree murder charges against Collins when she is extradited back to Florida.
