America 1st. I agree you need to get your facts straight. First she was NOT at her home. She went to her exhusbands home to get the rest of her belongings they got into an argument she left the house went to her car got her loaded gun went back into the house and fired a shot at him with hs 12yr old standing right next to him. Where do you see she was justified? When she went outside because she was mad she should have left. Instead she grabbed her gun went back in out of ANGER and shot at him. She definitely deserves 20yrs I believe she intended to shoot him but missed when she got in trouble that's when she started saying it was a warning shot

If the law states that if you fear your life you don't have to retreat. She feared for her life and children and returned with a defense. Obviously with no intent to kill but to protect herself. Is this the type of punishment you should receive for protecting your home? She was home and he was at her place not willing to leave. She should not have done one day in jail. Trayvon gets killed defending himself from a stranger stalking him and gets killed. Neighborhood watchman are strangers and shouldn't attempt to be policeman. This man goes free using this law. This law is definietly screwed up or being applied improperly by lawyers.

the ignorance on display is disgusting. Only low informational Obuma types are calling for this woman's release. No she should not be released pending a new trial because the woman is GUILTY! the only reason she is claiming it was a warning shot is because she missed! one of the prime tenants of gun safety is to know where your shot is going. the shooting is not defensible by the stand your ground law because she returned to the house to attempt to murder her abuser. she belongs in jail, period

Based on the history of her and ex husband she should not be in jail. A warning shot fired to prevent spousal abuse is nowhere near the same as someone robbing someone with gun or murdering someone in cold blood. She has spent to much time in jail already. If wanted to teach her lesson remove her gun rights for 15 years after the incident and put her on probation. This another one of Jax Atty Corey's failed examples of tough on citizens regardless of the actual events. Why Corey is still and attorney based on her actions in this trial and Trayvon Martin case is beyond me. She clearly has ethical and morale issues that would remove her from practicing law.
