Martin Luther King JR. Day closures

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- County and state offices across the area will be closed in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.

Residential garbage, recycle and yard waste pickup is scheduled to run as normal.

Huguenot Memorial Park and Hanna Park will maintain regular hours from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Monday.

City-owned tennis courts will be open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday as well.

List of closures:
-City Hall
-County courts
-Supervisor of Elections offices
-The Ritz Theatre & LaVilla Museum
-Public libraries
-Post offices
-Public schools

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the parade will go east on Water Street to Independent Drive. Then those in the parade will turn left on Newnan Street and turn right on Bay Street going east towards Gator Bowl Way. Police said the parade is expected to end at parking lot "J" at the Jaguars stadium.
