Masked gunman robs Family Dollar

LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Police are looking for a masked man who robbed a local Family Dollar.

On Thursday night, two employees at the Family Dollar at 4534 S.W. Heritage Oak Circle were closing up when a man with a black t-shirt tied around his face came out from the back of the store with a gun.

The robber forced the employees to the back of the store, taped their hands together and left them in the bathroom.

The masked man stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled on foot.

Lake City Police Department K-9 unit, the Florida Wildlife Commission and the Department of Corrections quickly responded but were unable to locate the suspect.
