Memorial fund established for woman killed by falling tree
ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. -- A memorial fund has been set up for the children of 42-year-old Dawn Ewing, who was killed last week when a large pine tree crashed down onto her Gainesville residence.
The tree fell down on the mobile home around 2 a.m., while the members of the Ewing family were sleeping.
Ewing's husband, Michael Braton, was injured in the incident but is expected to recover. The couple's three children were able to escape the ordeal uninjured.
Interested donors can contribute to the family by going to any PNC Bank and requesting your monetary donations be put into the Ewing Memorial Fund.
The grandparents will now reportedly help raise the children in Indiana.
