Memorial set for Thursday for murdered football player

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A teen shot and killed during a dice game will be remembered Thursday afternoon.

Ranod McKann, 16, was shot and killed at an apartment complex near St. Nicholas last weekend.  He was playing dice when two men came up to him and shot him during a robbery.

He went to Arlington Country Day School.

There will be a memorial service at New Life Cathedral Baptist Church at 7700 N. Pearl Street.  McKann once attended the Wisdom Academy at the church.  The memorial service is open to the public.
