Meth lab discovered in neighborhood near UNF campus

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says a meth lab has been discovered in a Southside neighborhood.

Officers were called to a home near Meadowbrook Boulevard, about a mile from the University of North Florida campus, around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say they were investigating a battery call when they discovered an active meth lab. Several people were taken into custody. An exact number suspects was not immediately released.

Police describe the investigation as ongoing and more arrest could be made.
