JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Action News takes you inside the gas station the night Jordan Davis was killed.
New video from inside the Gate gas station in November 2012 was released in court Thursday. It shows a woman at the register paying for her items and then gunshots ring out. It all happened in a matter of seconds.
Witness after witness described the scene inside and outside the gas station leading up to the shots.
"We looked out to see what was going on," said one witness. Another described it as organized chaos.
Steven Smith said he pulled up to get a soda that night.
"I heard the loud music and didn't want to deal with it," said Smith. Smith showed the jury on the state's evidence picture how far away he parked to avoid dealing with the noise, even though there was an open spot right next to the truck Jordan Davis was in. He also described what he heard coming from the vehicle's vicinity just before shots were fired.
Another witness, Andrew Williams, described what he saw as he was pulling up, just seconds after those 10 shots rang out.
"When I was pulling in, the car was pulling out really fast," said Williams.
The witnesses testified that the other teens inside the vehicle Davis was in were upset, and they said Davis wasn't moving.
