JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- It has been a long 13 days for Vanessa Williams.
"Sleepless nights. Not eating. Lots of crying. Lots of breakdowns," she said.
The last time Williams saw her husband Kevin was May 28 -- after an argument at The Avenues.
"He kind of wanted to resolve it right then and there and I didn't, so I walked away. I went, spent 20 minutes in the mall. I came out and he was gone," she continued.
Williams says Kevin is a Chief Petty Officer and recruiter for the Navy. She says it's unlike him to disappear and she knew something was wrong when he didn't show up to their daughter's awards ceremony that night.
"I think somebody's involved and something happened to him."
We did some digging, and found out Kevin was spotted at a Kangaroo gas station an hour after he vanished. The clerk on duty says he came in dressed in his blue camouflage uniform, bought a drink, but didn't appear stressed in any way. Williams believes the military should be doing more to find the sailor they say they'd never leave behind.
"I almost want to go sit in the middle of the street with a sign up, because that's how much I want to fight for him. I need them to look for my husband," she said.
