ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A missing woman who has both physical and mental disabilities was found safe Wednesday.

Katie Worthington, 23, had last been seen in Orlando in the Shadow Hills neighborhood Monday afternoon.

She was found in Lakeland, authorities said.

Authorities said she was reported missing at about 2:30 in the afternoon Monday, possibly with a man she met online.

Worthington has spina bifida and needs specialized medical care.

Saltsman said if she doesn't do everything she's supposed to do, medically, she could become very ill.

Saltsman said she believes her niece left her home to rendezvous with a man she met online.

"She'd sit in her room on her tablet and talk to someone on her tablet, and just found out the other day that the person she was talking to lives in Lakeland," Saltsman said.
