ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Mitt Romney's plane has landed at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine. It's the GOP presidential candidate's first stop in a day-long swing through Florida.

Romney is scheduled to speak at Flagler College during a campaign stop. He will address supporters on the West Lawn of the campus.

Today's campaign stop is part of a two-pronged approach for the Romney campaign. While the presumptive Republican nominee for president will swing through Florida, Romney's newly-named vice-presidential running mate, Paul Ryan, will be campaigning in Iowa.

President Obama is also expected to make campaign stops in Iowa today.

Mitt Romney's campaign event is expected to begin shortly after 8:30 a.m. in St. Augustine. Then it's on to Miami for more campaigning in the Sunshine State.

Count on Action News for full coverage of today's events on the air and on the web at ActionNewsJax.com. We will be bringing you live team coverage from St. Augustine all day long. And you can watch a live webstream of the Romney campaign event at Flagler College on ActionNewsJax.com.

Obama is very very wealthy, and if he believes what he says, he should be out on the street handing out money to the poor. Obama, like every other wealthy person has a tax shelter, or two to prevent any loss of wealth and to pay as few taxes as possible. "The rich need to pay their fair share" is just words to make the masses think he is really going to punish those guys for getting rich. This whole thing is a joke. How many people in this world would turn down being rich? I would venture to say, about 10%. Those who worry about Romney cutting medicare are worrying about the wrong person,Obama is already cutting over 7 billion out of medicare.

We all should buy the lines. Anyone in American be wealthy it just takes hard work being smart. Forget veteran exposed to toxins from wars. Forget workers exposed to accidents in factor. Hell do away with Unions. Do away with people's rights and call it right to work bills. Do away with everything our history books taught us about the events that brought about "Trust Busting " slogan at the turn of the 20 th century many many years ago.

I was considering voting for Romney till he picked Paul Ryan. Cuts to medicare. It wont affect any elderly now but their grandchildren will not have it when it comes their turn to try to live on the new 401k's that average workers cannot ever hope to turn into a true portfilo for retirement. Here's new idea lets take Bush tax cuts and make them permanent they surely turned the economy around last time. What you don't buy that lie? I mean look at the insourcing from China when we did that. There was millions of new jobs created. In China that is and many company CEO's got even more wealthy from the tax breaks. Obama doesnt even have to run against this clown. He's already defeated himself by selling that middle class must accept even more taxes and less benefits to sell more wars endlessly around the world. As far as wealth comments why is people claim they worked for their weath then refuse to relase their tax returns or books showing where they cheated the government or the people.

@imtellin- Is it that you are disgusted by wealth, or is the fact that you don't have any wealth because your waiting for the goverment to give it to you.Do not fault anyone who works their azz off to achieve wealth.
