JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Heavy rain and storms have pushed offshore with a few showers still affecting portions of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. The First Alert Weather Team does not anticipate much more lightning or thunder through the evening. The remaining showers will travel eastward and begin to wind down around 9 p.m. tonight. It will be muggy and warm for the duration with lows in the mid 70s. Sunday will feature mostly cloudy skies with more rain and storms from early afternoon through the early evening. Expect hot and humid weather before the storms arrive aiding in the potential for strong winds and heavy downpours. The unsettled weather pattern will stick around through much of next week with better days on tap starting next Friday.
