JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Inbound and outbound air travelers at Jacksonville International Airport were being delayed by weather on one of the airport's busiest nights of the year.
Dozens of flights in and out of Jacksonville were delayed Tuesday night, but most delays were less than 30 minutes.
Lauren Houston, though, spent seven hours at the airport waiting for her flight to Houston.
"I only get a couple of days to spend at home with family, so those days I get to spend at home I'd rather be there than at Jacksonville's airport," Houston told Action News.
Jacksonville did get some inclement weather, but not as bad as other major cities where flights were coming from and going to.
Atlanta, for example, saw 500 delays Tuesday, but only a few cancellations.
Because of the weather, some major airlines are waiving change and cancellation fees for Tuesday and Wednesday.
