JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A storm system is on the western horizon...

A nice night with pleasant evening temperatures as clouds increase near and after midnight.  Temperatures will only drop into the 50s.

Wednesday will be wet with rain and a few thunderstorms spreading west to east through the morning.  The rain will reach Duval County and Metro Jacksonville between 10 am and noon though a few showers could precede the main area of rain by an hour or two.  Rain will be heavy at times with an average of a half inch to an inch but locally as much as 1-1.5 inches of rain.

Highs Wednesday will only reach the 60s then settle into the upper 50s in the afternoon due to the persistent rain.
