JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Very warm and humid air will again fuel numerous showers and storms into this evening.  Storms will move N/NE at 15-25 mph dropping very heavy rain along with gusty winds and frequent lightning.  Expect a sudden drop in visibitilies as the heavy rain moves in causing slow traffic making for an extra long afternoon rush hour.  Rainfall rates of 1-3" per hour will occur with the strongest storms so localized short term flooding can be expected.  Rain and storms will diminish by late evening with lows in the 70s.  Thursday will be similar with morning and midday sun giving way to afternoon showers and thunderstorms that will be most numerous inland from near I-95 and points west.  Kickoff at 6:30 for the last Jagaurs' preseason game could be damp but improve through the game.  Friday through the holiday weekend will not be as wet with just a few scattered inland showers and isolated storms as temperatures top out near 90 degrees.  Click here to send weather photos...here to go to the First Alert Hurricane Center.
