CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Police are looking for the person or people behind a string of auto burglaries in the Oakleaf Plantation area.

At least 14 automobiles were broken into between March 7 and March 9. The crimes have happened in the neighborhoods of Worthington Oaks, Highland Mill and SilverLeaf. The last one occurred in the daylight hours.

The thief took credit cards which were used at stores in Jacksonville. Investigators say a 2000-2005 model Cadillac DeVille was seen in the area of one of the burglaries. It is white with a beige or tan top with chrome wheels.

Police are looking for the driver of that vehicle. Anyone with information can call authorities at (904) 264-6512.

This is a shame. Oakleaf was a nice neighborhood that turned into "thugville" in a very short time. By the way, what kind of fools leave their credit cards in their cars?

There are several cars that look very similar for sale on craigslist. I would check there especially now that the description of the car is out. Classifieds, Used car dealerships, Craigslist.
