BUNNELL, Fla. -- A mother is facing charges after a confrontation with a student at a bus stop.

Deputies say Felecia Philips, 35, confronted a 17-year-old male at a Palm Coast High School bus stop at County Road 13 and Railroad Street around 7 a.m. According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Philips argued with the teen over a fight yesterday between her son and a friend of the teen.

Philips is accused of pushing the teen in the face. Deputies say the teen then slammed Philips to the ground as the bus arrived. Authorities say Philips then chased the teen onto the bus and grabbed his hair. They say she got off the bus after the driver accused her of trespassing.

Philips was arrested around 10 a.m. and charged with child abuse and trespassing on school property. She was released from the Flagler County jail on a $2,500 bond.
