Everyone is looking at this wrong. DCF is full of people with failed lives loving to pass judgment over others just to feel better about themselves, they do no real good for the community.

I understand she lost one daughter, but if she is just incapable of caring for and making good judgement's about how to raise the rest of her kids SAFELY, then she doesn't need to raise them. The most unselfish thing she can do is let them go and visit them. Allow them to have a stable, secure upbringing and when they are 18, they themselves can make more adult decisions when being around their mother. If ever there was a person out there 'grandstanding' for attention it is this mother. She is like a robot repeating things she's been told so the empathy and charity keeps coming. SHE WAS STANDING BESIDE HER DAUGHTER and could have prevented her from walking off with a monster in the store. Deanna Thompson was at work, with no control over her daughter or the monsters stalking children in her neighborhood. These children need to come first for once. As sad as it is, LOVE alone is NOT enough.

She made a mistake in judgment. I feel for her, but the kids would probably be safer with their dad. If he won't take them put them with their grandparents. As far as DCF goes the less said the better more like Nazi's than government agency.

The more I hear about Ms.Perrywinkle, I think the courts should let the Father have the kids. I am not on anyone side but I am thinking what is best for the Children. NO mother in their right mind would have ever let someone they didn't know let take off with their child willingly. She does need drug testing and a psychological evaluation. If she gets the children back DCF better keep a good eye on them

I'm sorry, but I don't think these children should be in her 'custody'. IF there is a father, or family members able to take them, she should only get visitation rights. She must have not been a good mom before if the dad was trying to get Cherish away from her.
