JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The mother of the two-year girl who was thrown down a flight of stairs in St. Augustine says her daughter is having a hard time sleeping after such a traumatic incident.

She says her daughter, Valeria, has several bruises to her knee, arms, back and head.

Her father, Joseph Izzi, was arrested Monday night after deputies say he threw the toddler down a flight of concrete stairs.

"It's more a traumatic experience than anything she's not sore anymore but she's having a hard time sleeping," said the girl's mom.

When sheriff deputies arrived at the Fairview Condominium complex, Izzi was naked and running through the parking lot of the complex.

He faces several charges including cruelty toward a child.

There is no way this man would EVER be allowed in my home again--husband or not. I doubt seriously if he would even be allowed to see his child/(children) again, or me either except in court. I would also be sorely tempted to push him down the stairs if he ever DID try to come near.
