Mother who posted baby bong Facebook photo arrested on meth charges
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- A local mother arrested years ago for posting a Facebook picture of a baby holding a bong, now faces charges related to making methamphetamine.
Rachel Marie Stieringer, 22, was arrested last month for conspiracy to manufacture meth with a child present, possession of a listed chemical, and maintaining a dwelling for the manufacture of meth.
She pleaded not guilty this morning and has a pretrial hearing on July 16.
Her arrest stemmed from an investigation by the Florida Department of Children and Families on a complaint that children were present inside the house where active methamphetamine labs were being used.
Detectives found an active meth lab in the master bedroom of a home owned by her parents in Keystone Heights.
Deputies recommended charges against three other people at the home.
