Motorcycle crash closes Blanding Boulevard, sends two to hospital

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Two people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries after an SUV and a motorcycle collided.

The crash happened about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Suzanne Drive. Investigators say the SUV hit the motorcycle which was trying to make a left turn.

The motorcycle riders were thrown to the ground. Those teenagers were wearing helmets. They were taken to Orange Park Medical Center with serious injuries. The three people in the Lincoln Navigator were not injured.

No charges were immediately filed against either driver.
