JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville has been the home of the Jaguars for 18-years. And the NFL's commissioner says he wants to keep it that way.

Jaguar fans in Jacksonville say the team is not going anywhere. And they aren't the only ones. "I am a season ticket holder. It's just so much fun going to the game," said David Pierce.

"I think they are here to stay," said Lynn Clements.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said during an interview Thursday night that he does not want to move any teams. Instead he wants Los Angeles and another city to get brand new teams.

"It's just vindications of what I already believed that they are here to stay," said Pierce.

"It's a different market here than LA and I think the people here seem to support the team," said Clements.

"Jacksonville is a football town," said Bryan Whitley. Bryan knows how important the Jaguars have been for the city. They are the number one seller at Sports Mania.

"All the people that can't stand the small market teams are going to constantly say they are going to pick up and go to Los Angeles," he said.

Fans hope the commissioner's words finally put the rumors to rest because there is only one place for the Jaguars and that's right here in the River City. "They are the only team I have ever really liked," said Pierce.

"I'm pretty confident that Jags are going to be here for many years to come," said Whitley.

Los Angeles doesn't have a stadium yet, but they have two sites with developed plans ready whenever they do get a team.
