NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. -- A man was found guilty for his involvement in the 2012 death of his 9-month-old son.

Robert Anthony Jerrell, 35, was found guilty Wednesday of aggravated manslaughter of a child.

In May 2012, Jerrell was at home with the baby and another 2-year-old child. Jerrell placed both children into a bathtub filled with water. After a period of time Jerrell removed the 2-year-old but left the 9-month old in the tub unsupervised long enough that the baby drowned. The defendant also neglected to contact authorities immediately upon finding the victim.

Jerrell is classified as a Habitual Felony Offender and faces up to life in prison. He will be sentenced on Jan 16.
