Baker County

Macclenney, Fla. - The Baker County Wildcats had two big signings on Wednesday.  Quarterback Thomas Sirk is going to Duke, while his favorite wide receiver Kendrick Singleton will play right down the road at ACC rival North Carolina.
 

Camden County

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The football factory that is Camden County had a proud signing day with 11 Wildcats earning scholarships.  We have a list of some of the names.  If you know more, please feel free to contact us so we can add to the commit list.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Ribault Trojans have a tradition of sending players to college and that continued on Wednesday.  Raynard Felton, a defensive end, signed to play at Middle Tennessee State.  Aaron McCullough is a defensive tackle and will play college football at Ed Waters College.

Mandarin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Mandarin Mustangs held a ceremony today to celebrate three seniors earning scholarships.  Stephen Hospital will play football at Stetson, while Mary Kate Ponder is going to Kentucky to run track.

Holy Cross is getting a Mustang thanks to softball standout Sarah Kane.

Bartram Trial - 5:10 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE Fla. -- The final stop on signing day was a big one at Bartram Trail.

Five football players signed their national letters of intent to play college football.

Four of the five will play Division I. Defensive lineman Korey Harris will play at West Virginia, and kicker Cole Leininger is on his way to Cal.

Our reality recruits, Jared Crump and Bobby Walker, are headed to Wake Forest and Troy respectively. Running back Gabe Johnson will play Division 1AA football at Charleston Southern.

Creekside High - 4:25 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two Creekside Knights have made school history by earning college scholarships.

Randy Frost and Jordan Swindle became the first Knights to sign letters of intent to play college ball on Wednesday. Frost is going to the Air Force Academy, while Swindle is Kentucky bound.

Creekside made the playoffs this past season and is only in its third year of existence as a school.

Nease High - 3:33 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - There is a local signing for the Florida Gators but it's not in football.  Nease High School's Mac Reynolds is going to be a Florida Gator and run cross country.

Reynolds signed in front of a small gathering of family and teammates this afternoon.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville - 2:21 P.M.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Episcopal School of Jacksonville is a busy place on National Signing Day. The school on the south bank of the St. Johns river has a big class of ten seniors signing national letters of intent. Linebacker Shakeel Rashad will play football at the University of North Carolina. The future Tar Heel has football in his blood. Rashad's older brother Sha'reff played for the New York Giants and Washington Redskins in the NFL.

Erich Schneider a 6-6 wide receiver, will play football at Duke University.

Jacob Addington headed to Boston University to be a part of the crew team. Mary Ann McNulty is going to Princeton to be part of the crew team.

The soccer program boasts three signees including Celeste Glober (Wellesley), Kyle Nasta (University of North Florida) and Sebastian Hardington (Emory).

Nathan Koslowski will stay in Jacksonville and play baseball at Jacksonville University. Koslowski is an outfielder and batted .374 as a junior.

Conor Clark will play lacrosse at Swarthmore College.

Bishop Kenny - 1:49 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Signing Day rolls on from the beautiful river front campus of Bishop Kenny High School. The Crusaders have four football players signing letters of intent this afternoon.

Bobby Wolford will play linebacker at Boston College. Will Lewis is headed to University of Delaware to play offensive line. Desmond Huff will play linebacker at Gardner-Webb. Steve Cornellier will attend Air Force and play defensive end.

Clay High - 1:15 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE Fla. - Three football players at Clay signed their letters of intent to play at next level.

Offensive lineman Will Holden is headed to the SEC to play at Vanderbilt. Caleb Slate is on his way to the Ivy League and Princeton, while Dez Sullivan stays home and will attend Jacksonville.

Bolles High - 1:00 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - National Signing day is always big at The Bolles School. The state champion Bulldogs have five football players signing letters of intent today.

Offensive lineman John Theus leads the class and will play college football at the University of Georgia. Theus is regarded as one of the top recruits coming out of Jacksonville this year. Fellow offensive lineman Jon Heck will commit to play at the University of North Carolina. Heck's father is the Jaguars offensive line coach.
 
Placekicker Brooks Abbott will head to Virginia Tech to play under special teams guru Frank Beamer. Also signing today are defensive lineman Max Tejada (Towson University) and tight end Luke Viering (Trinity College).

Orange Park - 12:15 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE Fla. - Orange Park gets the afternoon started with four athletes signing their national letters of intent.

Vince Perry and Kyle Stevens will play football at Florida Tech, while Jacob Kirk heads to West Virginia to play football at division 2 Glenville State.

Hannah Bunn also signed to play soccer at Rollins College in Orlando.

Signing Day Tidbits - 11:30 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A few random thoughts on signing day. The Florida State Seminoles are making a big splash and Florida will end up with a big day by the end of things. Georgia landed a big fish when they heard good news from Josh Harvey-Clemons.

Keep in mind that we will have a half hour special tonight at 10:30pm on FOX30 and every kid we had video or pictures of throughout the day will make an appearance. We'll continue to cover signing day throughout the week on the web and on television.

Raines - 10:56 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Reality Recruit Kenny Bynum out of Raines has been committed to Cincinnati for months now, but on Wednesday he didn't sign his letter of intent. Bynum is waiting another week because Tennessee came in at the 11th hour with a scholarship offer. Bynum will visit Rocky Top this weekend and then make a decision after that to be a Vol or stay with the Bearcats.

The linebacker had early offers last year to Stanford and several other schools along with Cincy. Bynum had a big season for the Raines Vikings which included several post season accolades.

Eyshawn McClain, a linebacker, did sign his letter intent to play at Cincinnati.  In girls track and field, Keana Gray, will continue her career at Austin Peay.

Fleming Island-10:35am

JACKSONVILLE Fla.- A huge National Signing Day took place at Fleming Island this morning. Nine athletes signed letters of intent to play college sports including six football players.

Frantz Caudio - Jacksonville

Providence School - 10:06 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Providence is always a buzzing stop on the Action Sports National Signing Day tour. 2012 is no exception as the Stallions celebrate signing day for seven of their student-athletes.

The Providence baseball team is looking to have a big season, and it comes as no surprise that four of their seniors will play NCAA Division I baseball. The class is led by Christian Dicks, who is going to be a Florida Gator. Dicks also played football at Providence. Tyler Martin and Zach Favre are both headed to Orlando to play for the University of Central Florida. Walker Lockett will play at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Cameron Naylor will play basketball right here in Jacksonville at the University of North Florida. The 6-7 Naylor will play under Matthew Driscoll whose Ospreys came one game from clinching an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament last year.

Ana Marie Bistrow will swim for Army at West Point. Bistrow was also a standout basketball player at Providence. Bistrow chose West Point over Seton Hall.

Brandon Cook also signed to play baseball at Randolph Macon.

Ed White High - 9:56 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two Ed White High School students signed with colleges today.

Jacobi James Green signed with the University of Richmond and Daniel Brown is going to Edward Waters College in Jacksonville.

Ponte Vedra High - 9:11 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The young Ponte Vedra football program has enjoyed success and that equates to college scholarships too.

The district champs just had a ceremony for three players going to play college football.

Kicker Kyle Federico is already enrolled at Rutgers. Tight end Mike Parotta will play at Alabama-Birmingham. Tyler Gleason will play linebacker at Wofford.

First Coast High School - 9:05 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - We have a flip-flop. Reggie Northrup from First Coast High School changed his commitment this morning from Miami to Florida State.

The linebacker joins a list of recent Bucs headed to Tallahassee.

First Coast's class was headlined by Chris Black. The wide receiver is already enrolled at Alabama.

Atlantic Coast High School - 9:01 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - National Signing Day continues on the Southside at Atlantic Coast High School.

Today is a special day on campus as the first class of seniors in school history signs their letters of intent. Stingrays coach Kevin Sullivan said since today is their first signing day, they wanted to "do it big".

Zach Burnett will play fullback at Webber International. Place kicker Bennett Blanton signed with FAMU.

Center Blake Stone signed with Charleston Southern University.

Jeffrey Gay is a defensive tackle and will play at Delaware State.

Justice Sandlin will play at Division Two Catawba College as a defensive tackle.

Matt Kramer will punt for Division Two Bethel University. 

Harvest Community School - 8:25 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE Fla. - One of the first signings of the day is also the first ever for Harvest Community School.

Jackson Wilcox, will play tight end for division two Tusculum College in Tennessee. Wilcox says that he is happy he can pave the way for future football players at Harvest Community.

Fletcher High - 7:57 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - National Signing Day got off to an early start in Neptune Beach at Fletcher High School. The school held their ceremony at 8 a.m. and several student-athletes signed their letters of intent. 

Fletcher soccer players led this year's class. Danielle Hancock will play at Florida Southern. Marlee Harris will stay in town and play for Jacksonville University. Samantha Millspaugh is headed to the Citadel.

Rique Bentley will play football at Dean College. Zack Funkhouse will play baseball at Lake Sumter Community College.

Rounding out the class is Jacqui Harris who will play basketball at Edward Waters College.

7:55 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Signing day is here and the Action News team is on the road all around northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.
