Navy will decommission USS Boone at Mayport
MAYPORT, Fla. – The guided missile frigate USS Boone will be decommissioned Thursday at Naval Station Mayport.
The crew will be in full dress uniform as they pay tribute to the men and women who served aboard the ship.
The USS Boone was launched in 1980, most recently the ship served fighting Somali pirates as part of the United States Fifth Fleet.
