Absolutely pitiful.

I love it. Lets blame everyone else but ourselves.Who voted for the Courthouse? Now who did the fire alarm work was it Turner or the local guy? The best one is lets blame everbody about what has gone wrong but if you have never built a public works project you would know how it works. The General has to use a certain set of sub-contractors that meet certain guidlines even if they have bad track records. Then they try and watch them but on a project of this magnitude you miss some things that come to light in the end. Then you are being forced to meet a date that you have minimal control over or face penalties of up to 10-20 thousand per day and up. Then when the news and public gets involved its alway's your fault.There isn't anyway that a Contractor can cut corners and anyone who ever thinks that has never worked on a large project in thier lives.

$350 million for a new court house $300,000 for new unneeded furniture. Now it is not able to pass inspection. Turner cut corners on the Gator Bowl stadium, now they have messed up the farce of a courthouse. Jacksonville knew off their sloppy workman ship and still let them do another building and it has gone so far over budget it is ridiculous. You need to make sure they do not do another building in the area of Florida and Georgia. What other problems will be found before you are able to use it. Old court house has no furniture, I guess you will have to pay the men to work for three days and put furniture and files back in the old building.

This has been a $350 million farce from the get-go.....simply a testament to those who were elected officials at the time. I strongly believe that an adequate courthouse could have been constructed for $10-15 million dollars.
