VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — New evidence was released Tuesday evening in the case against the Volusia County man accused of killing his wife and two stepchildren.

The evidence shows how detectives tried to get Luis Toledo to talk, and they took Toledo to his parents' graves, hoping he would open up and tell them where to find the bodies.

Prosecutors said the evidence will prove Toledo killed his wife Yessenia Suarez and her two children.

A bus driver told investigators she saw Toledo wiping down a black Honda in a Lake Mary Publix parking lot. Suarez owned a black Honda.

Detectives said they found the blood of Suarez's daughter, Thalia Otto, on the Honda's trunk mat.

They also found her blood in a bathroom at the family's home, investigators said.

Detectives searched the little girl's room as well looking for clues about how she died.

Investigators said Toledo tried to kill himself about a week after he killed Suarez and her children.

During interviews with Toledo, detectives said Toledo locked himself in a bathroom and broke a mirror. Detectives had to use a battering ram to get him out.

WFTV obtained photos, showing Toledo after his suicide attempt and pictures from Suarez's home.

Authorities said Toledo admitted to killing his wife, but not her children.
