New funding for JAXPORT
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- JAXPORT just secured major funding from the state level to undergo repairs at both the Tallyrand and Blount Island Terminals.
The $27.5 million will be used for rehabilitation and repairs to some of the port's aging docks. Some of those docks are 30-40 years old and need the repairs to secure current business and grow business down the line.
JAXPORT officials say these upgrades are vital to keeping the city viable and thriving.
