Downtown development groups are like a pack of wolves looking for more of anything they can get. They want our tax dollars. They need to shut down and learn to get the city's priorities into their head. The citizens of Jacksonville NEED POLICE, FIRE, UTILITIES, AND OVERDUE MAINTENANCE. City development must fall below these needs. The city needs to fund for it's safety and required maintenance FIRST, then IF there is money left it could be used for development projects. Is city hall ready to post in the media exactly where our taxes go and how much each each administrator and the mayors advisors and executive staff get paid? Now that would be news everyone in Jacksonville would be interested in seeing. Maybe that might help our city leaders to adjust their priorities.
