New gun policy for new courthouse

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A new policy created by Sheriff John Rutherford prohibits non-uniformed officers from carrying firearms into the Duval County Courthouse.

I can only wonder if that rule applies to Judges, Lawyers and all other Court Officers in plain clothes. Dale Carson is off the beaten path. He should fully retire instead of seeking every moment of publicity he can grab. Disarming Detectives and Undercover Officers in plain clothes is just Crazy. Further, this mania will solve nothing and heighten overall risks. This goofy off-the-wall rule needs to go!
