JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police have released a new surveillance picture they hope will help lead them to the arrest of the two men who robbed a southside Burger King at gunpoint.

It happened just after noon Sunday.

According to detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, two masked men walked into the Burger King near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Interstate 295 with an assault rifle and demanded money. The two then escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say the men were both wearing bandannas to cover their faces. They were last seen leaving the restaurant and running northbound behind the Beachwood Plaza shopping center.

K-9 units as well as an air unit were brought in to help with the search, but the thieves were able to evade capture.

Anyone who has any information in regards to this robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.

How did a "semi-automatic gun" in the news report turn into "assault rifle" in print?
