its people like jaxgirl that give yhe police so much room to do the wrong thing.most cops are not good and honest and at least the sheriff knows that and will do something about the two who need to be fired.I basically hate the police and dont trust them.oh yeah i hate people like jaxgirl as well

42 rounds from what was it .. 5 officers? That is approximately 8 shots per officer. Which is NORMAL!! Everyone is blowing up the hype on 42 rounds ... but it wasn't from one officer!! 5 officers were DOING THEIR JOBS!! How would you feel if the robber had gotten away and KILLED the kid in the backseat, which is probably what would have happened. Or he could have killed MANY more people!! Props to JSO for shooting at the scum. All these people who are saying negative things about JSO will think twice when someone harms themselves or their families ... at a fast food restaurant, pumping gas, at the bank, etc etc. Then they will be BEGGING for JSO for help and for charities I'm sure. Karma - what goes around comes around.

JSO is unaccountable to no one, but themselves. This is not how a democracy works. Government agencies require and demand civilian oversight, and there is none with the JSO. There have been several Police shootings that are very questionable and the questions are never answered. We need Accountability and now before something even more tragic happens in the future. As long as JSO knows its unaccountable, then its business as usual - shoot em up - Judge/jury/Executioner on the spot. If you want a 'gestapo', then you may soon get your wishes. We need a Citizens Review Board and Quick! and the very nerve some of you criticizing journalists for looking into police records. KUDOS! to finally some investigative journalism for a change. Too bad though that police records are routinely cleared and most bad things don't ever show up. These officers needed to be charged for manslaughter. There is no place in America for this sort of police action. We need Accountability now before its too late!

Lets assume that every "reporter" "newsperson" had every negative comment or complaint about them talked about in public. That is of course just a few negative "RED FLAGS" . Including stories where simple adjectives were used to inflame the reader. I would love to see that written about, because it happens all the time. Especially when writing about the police. Just try to fill their shoes.

i'm sorry but 42 shots into a car full of people, is way too much. seems like they didn't care who was also in the car as long as they got the guy.

I am a Police Officer in Georgia, JSO did not intentionally shot the child. It's horrible that a child was hit. I feel for the parents and the pain they must be going through. Now your "Action New spent hours pouring through each page of the files" Please report major disciplinary action taken against the officers if they had one, not mishandling a call, driving out of the county, complaints. My Goodness, Polce get complaints all the time even when we do the right thing and the people dont like how it is handled they complain on you. JSO did what was right and were handling a major felony in progress! I do not trust reporters for reasons like this. Digging to find dirt like you found is not reporting the news it is filler to occupy time.
