All these tests do not prove what a student has or has not learned in school. They do not prove if a student is ready for college or not. They need to do away with these worthless tests and pass the students on the grades they make in school. I think the parents need to start a petition to force the Florida Dept. of Education to stop using these tests to make straight A students and students with grades above a C feel like failures. These students are not failures but these tests make them feel this way when their report cards say they did good in school but are detained because they fail the FCAT.

I refused to let my son get pulled out of class to take this and I got a call from the head of testing for the district asking why. I submitted his ACT scores and they took their sweet time verifying him. He is ALREADY in TWO Dual Enrollment courses (11th grader) and gotten an A the first half of his AP English class-

ridiculous to waste money on kids who clearly illustrate by scoring poorly on psats & sats that they aren't college material,, so why does the state think giving them extra classes is going to aid them ??? they can't even handle the minimum workload,, so assigning more will only lead to more failures on the part of the students !!! typical thinking on the part of school administrators,, johnnie can't read nor write,, but we want him ready for college ??? if it wasn't so serious,, it would be damn hilarious !!!!
