Newlyweds killed in Christmas Day crash
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A local couple that was killed in a crash on Christmas Day near Anastasia State Park has been identified.
Trevor Leonardi and his wife, Jennifer, were driving northbound on A1A near Red Cox Road when Trevor was unable to make the curve in and crashed his 2007 Black Nissan Titan into a tree.
He and Jennifer died on scene.
According to Facebook, the couple was married on December 9.
Detectives with the St. Augustine Beach Police Department say the investigation is ongoing.
