JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's always warmest prior to the cold front. And this time of year, that means mid to upper 70s across the First Coast this afternoon.
The cold front moves through Georgia this evening and through Jacksonville overnight. The front is not very cold, but high temperatures Wednesday will be down about ten degrees from Tuesday's maximums. Our forecast is 66.
Rain with the cold front is in short supply. The front will bring widely scattered showers or sprinkles as it moves through tonight. Amounts should be less than a tenth of an inch.
The rest of the week will be mild. Overnight low temperatures will not be that chilly. The First Alert Weather Team is forecasting 40s and 50s at night. High temps from Thursday through the weekend will generally be in the 70s. Onshore winds will keep it a little cooler during the day at the beaches.
