JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  The Florida Highway Patrol has released its preliminary toxicology report in the crash that killed off-duty JSO Officer Tchenter Wilson.

The report says Wilson did not have alcohol in his system when he crashed head-on into a semi on Busch Drive on June 21.

The report does say investigators found prescription medication in Wilson's system, but it was consistent with his medical condition.

FHP is continuing to process the full toxicology report, their investigation is ongoing.

If your meds say 'use care when driving' versus 'do not drive while taking', it is not under the influence.

Coolhand13: not if those medications don't impair the ability to drive.

coolhand13, it has been said he was a diabetic. Should he have not taken those meds? People take all kinds of medications that have no effect on their ability to drive. Not taking certain medications however will.
